The CLIMAREST project, funded by the European Commission(Horizon Europe fund), explores the potential of restoration actions in various coastal areas on an Arctic-Atlantic scale The project seeks to develop and demonstrate restoration tools and activities at five demonstration sites across Europe: Norway (Arctic fjords), Ireland (seagrass meadows), France (oyster reefs), Spain (soft bottom ecosystems), and Portugal (rocky reef macroalgae ecosystems).
It seeks to provide tools and resources to support marine restoration actions in collaboration with local communities as a guarantee for the future of coastal ecosystems.
